3. Getting Started

Download the App

Search for "AI DVR Link" in the App Store or Google Play to download and install the companion app.

Charging the Device

Connect the magnetic charging cable to the charging port on the device and a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Powering On/Off

Long press the Power/Record button for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off. A "Welcome" message will appear on the screen when powered on.

Binding the Device

Enable Bluetooth on your phone, open the "AI DVR Link" app, and follow the on-screen instructions to bind your UMEVO Note Plus. A successful connection is indicated by the Bluetooth icon on the device's screen.

4. Recording

4.1 Recording Modes

NOTE Mode

Toggle the switch to the right for general-purpose recording, such as in meetings or lectures. Hold the recorder in your hand or place it on a desk to start recording.

CALL Mode

Toggle the switch to the left for recording phone calls. For best results, attach the recorder to the back of your phone using the magnetic case to capture phone vibrations.

4.2 How to Record

On the Device

Start Recording: Short press the Power/Record button (you'll feel one vibration)
Stop Recording: Short press the button again (you'll feel two vibrations)

In the App

Start/Stop: Tap the "Record" button in the app
Pause/Resume: Tap once during recording to pause, tap again to resume
Save: Tap the Save button to finish and save the recording

4.3 File Synchronization

Once connected to the app, your audio files will automatically sync and appear in the app's file list. The device features auto-reconnection, so no repeated pairing is required for subsequent recordings.

Recorder File Sync via Computer

Connect the recorder to your computer using the USB cable.

1. The recorder powers on automatically.
2. A connection icon appears on the screen.
3. For initial connection:
   - Computer prompts for driver installation.
   - Wait until "My Computer" (Windows) recognizes a new drive.
4. When connection is confirmed:
   - Transfer files via drag-and-drop.
   - Read/manage files normally.

Notice:
Never disconnect during file transfer to prevent data loss.

After syncing a file, tap on it in the app to initiate transcription. Once transcription is complete, a summary and mind map will be generated automatically using advanced AI technology powered by ChatGPT.

You can rename, move, and edit your files within the app. If you're not satisfied with the transcription or summary, you can re-process the file (this will use your transcription minutes) or manually edit the content.
